Rachel Feintzeig is an award-winning reporter, writer and former Wall Street Journal columnist.

From 2020 until 2024, she wrote the paper’s Work + Life column, helping readers navigate quandaries on the job and at home. Previously, she covered careers and leadership for the paper’s corporate bureau. She joined the company in 2008 to cover bankruptcy in the Washington, D.C., office.

Her features and columns have garnered awards including the 2023 New York Press Club award for newspaper commentary and a 2022 Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing award. The latter recognized her deep-dive on people who secretly work two jobs.

Rachel’s work has been featured on NPR’s “Weekend Edition,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” CBS News, CNBC and more. Her column about superfans was an answer on NPR’s “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” She is a frequent speaker and moderator, and has interviewed leaders like Ray Dalio and Ginni Rometti for live events. In 2023, Rachel was selected to give the R. Peter Straus lecture at Yale University’s School of Management, an annual talk featuring a prominent individual, covering topics related to the press.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Rachel lives in Connecticut with her husband and two children.
